The Autumn Korean Culture Camp 2024, hosted by the ASEAN Youth Friendship Network (AYFN) Academy, is your chance to enrich cultural involvement in one of Asia’s most vibrant cities.

Join AYFN Academy’s Autumn Korean Culture Camp and immerse yourself in Korean language and culture. This program is for students and young professionals aged 17-35 who seek a brief but enriching cultural experience in Seoul.

AYFN Academy, in collaboration with a local group, offers a comprehensive immersion program that includes daily activities, cultural outings, and Korean language instruction. Regardless of your current Korean language proficiency, this program welcomes international participants to explore the rich traditions of South Korea.

Participants will visit famous Seoul landmarks, enjoy local cuisine, learn traditional Korean arts, and experience wearing a Hanbok. The goal is to enhance language skills, foster cultural appreciation, and create unforgettable memories.

Eligibility Criteria

You must meet the following requirements:

  • Commitment to participate fully in the program and return home after it ends
  • Ability to adapt to new environments easily
  • Good physical and mental health

Activities

Participants will engage in beginner-level classes covering Korean basics such as self-introduction, greetings, listening, and basic conversations. These classes emphasize interactive learning and allow participants to practice daily conversations with residents.

Participants will immerse themselves in Korean culture through hands-on activities such as making Kimchi and experiencing traditional customs like wearing Hanbok. The program includes visits to key Seoul landmarks such as Namsan Tower, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, Nami Island, and Insadong Gil, where participants can learn about Korea’s history, culture, and society.

    • Pay the registration fee to secure your place.
    • Deadline: 1st October 2024 or until the quota is filled
    • Complete visa processing (if needed) and pay the remaining program fee.
