Opportunity Description

Application is open for The Alliance of International Science Organizations ( ANSO ) Scholarships for talented international students to study in China.

The Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) was established in 2018 in China with the cooperation of 37 education and science institutes from the globe, ANSO is an international non-government and non-profit scientific organization. The aim of this international organization is to develop the qualification of talented international students in science and technology, wellbeing, human livelihoods, S and T broader cooperation, and communication.

For the upcoming academic year, ANSO provides several scholarships for international student who is living outside of China and wishes to pursue their Master’s and PhD. in the university of science and technology of China or the university of Chinese academy of science. Applicants will centralize training in the Chinese language, culture, and practical research. Interested applicants are highly encouraged to apply for these fully-funded scholarships.

Benefits of ANSO scholarship:

  • The monthly stipend for master degree is 3000 RMB
  • Monthly stipend for PhD degree is 6000 RMB or 7000 RMB

Requirements:

  • Applicants must not be a citizen of china
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree for master and master’s degree for PhD.
  • Must be proficient in English language or Chinese
  • For a master’s degree, the applicant’s age must not be more than 30 years.
  • For a Ph.D. degree, the applicant’s age must not be more than 35 years.
  • Applicants must not take any other assignments during the scholarship period.
  • Must meet the admission eligibility.

Important notes:

  • Those applicants who are currently conducting their Master’s degree or PhD. in one of the Chinese institutes are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • The applicant is not eligible to apply for both UCAS and USTC at the same time.
  • Applicants must apply for only one supervisor of the UCAS or USTC institute.
  • Successful applicants who got the ANSO scholarship for pursuing their master’s degree, cannot pass the annual assessment, their scholarship will be suspended, termination discontinuity. Moreover, Ph.D. applicants cannot pass the annual assessment successfully. Their scholarship will be terminated, discontinued, and will not receive the formal Ph.D. degree.

Required documents:

  • English or Chinese Language proficiency document.
  • Copy of the first page (information pages) of the passport.
  • Update CV, including the research experience.
  • Recent academic certificate and transcript (bachelor certificate for master degree and PhD. the Bachelor and Master degree certificate are required).
  • Two letters of recommendation from your past academic supervisors, who know you well, (the letter must be in English or Chinese, signed, official headed paper, contact address “Email and Phone number,” date).
  • Research proposal.
  • Copy of 5 published academic papers (if possible).
  • Medical certificate.

Note:

  • The whole documents must be in English or Chinese.
  • The documents must meet the online applicant system format.
  • An applicant who got the scholarship must present a hard copy of an academic certificate, transcript, the passport to the USTC/UCAS scholarship office upon arrival in China. Otherwise, applicants will be rejected.

  • Find a supervisor from an eligible institution. If the professor accepts you, you need to contact him/her, send an email including your CV, research proposal or any other support documents. The degree you want to pursue must be mention as well.

Note:

  • ask your supervisor to complete and sign the supervisor’s comment page and send that to the USTC or UCAS before the scholarship deadline.

  • For the UCAS, ask your supervisor to send the hard copy of the Supervisor’s comment page to the college or institute he/she affiliated.
