Sanayee Development Organization (SDO) is an Afghan development NGO, founded in 1990 in Peshawar – Pakistan, to serve Afghan refugees in there. SDO is named after a well-known Afghan poet Hazrat Hakeem Sanayee, (1088 – 1166 A.D.), one of Afghanistan’s most exceptional poets.

SDO extended its services and relocated to Kabul – Afghanistan In 2002, setting forth the mission to contribute to the emergence of a peaceful, advanced and self-sustaining Afghan society through the providing services to vulnerable and underprivileged people in remote and underserved rural areas of the country in the sectors of Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation, Health, Education and Community Development.

Job Summary

SDO is hiring 36 Vaccinator whose work will be in Kabul city in fulfillment of the organization’s missions. Eligible applicants can apply for these positions after reading the details below and if they qualify..

Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Have a sound treatment with clients and respect for people’s culture and traditions;
  • Deliver vaccination services in the areas not covered before;
  • To expand the coverage of GAVI vaccination, work with the mobile team of vaccination project;
  • Be dutiful and abide by the enforced health guidelines and work in mobile teams;
  • Responsible for providing the immunity services target groups according to meetings schedule;
  • Define the type of vaccine and preparing the dose for clients;
  • Observe and take care of cold chain, control the temperature of freezer according to the instructions of EPI;
  • Participate in the individual and collective health training, communicating the foundational health messages to recipients in the target groups at the community level;
  • Ensuring the safety of the vaccine and its related equipment;
  • Actively take part in the national days of vaccination;
  • Report on the tragic cases post-vaccination;
  • Encourage people to implement EPI;
  • Preparing monthly reports of stock, consumption and request for vaccines;
  • Contribute to planning, implementation, and reporting of vaccination services;
  • Observe all the policies and objectives of MoPH;
  • Contribute to implementing the quality assurance standards;
  • Have monthly plan and submit monthly written report on the vaccination activities; and
  • Have proper filing system.

Job Requirements

1. Education and competencies:

  • Be at least high school graduate.
  • A minimum of one year experience in vaccination is given preference (a one-year certificate).
  • Be able to speak national languages (Dari & Pashto).
  • Applicants who have certificate of Basic Herd Immunity Course will be preferred.
  • Professional communication and writing skills in local languages and as well as English language
  • Working experience in similar geographical area and on similar positions is a plus.
