Sanayee Development Organization (SDO) is an Afghan development NGO, founded in 1990 in Peshawar – Pakistan, to serve Afghan refugees in there. SDO is named after a well-known Afghan poet Hazrat Hakeem Sanayee, one of Afghanistan’s most exceptional poets.

SDO broadened its services and relocated to Kabul – Afghanistan In 2002, setting forth the mission to contribute to the emergence of a peaceful, advanced and self-sustaining Afghan society through the providing services to vulnerable and underprivileged people in remote and underserved rural areas of the country in the sectors of Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation, Health, Education and Community Development.

Job Summary

Job objective

Delivering urgent nursing services to ensure patients’ survival and support.

Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities:

• Performing the duty in the official hours and being in charge of all related affairs;
• Completing the initial and continual checkups of patients and checking their symptoms;
• Opening the patient’s vein and applying the medication according to the physician’s instructions in charge;
• Carrying patients safely to the emergency room and relevant ward;
• Ensuring a secure environment for patients  and the personnel in accordance with the antan cases and safety standards;
• Referring the patients to the related division after recovery;
• Cleaning those patients in need of washing;
• Taking care and supplying the cupboard and other necessities of the urgent ward in time;
•  Reporting on the performance progress and activities of the related units;
• Ensuring safe protection of the nursing room equipment, recording the spending of materials, reequipping the stock at an appropriate time;
• Preparing and arranging the nursing room registry book in a precise way;
• Eliminating all the expired lab materials in time and according to policy;
• Monthly reporting to surveillance supervisor on the status of receiving and spending lab materials if required;
• Preparing the required material acquisition request under surveillance team doctor’s guidance;
• Upgrading the information and expertise level and getting information on national guidelines;
• Providing health training to clients;
• Having appropriate awareness to apply quality assurance standards;
• Submitting the reports in a specific time and sending the lab material request in a specific time; and

Job Requirements

1. Education and competencies:

• Graduate of a and reputable MoPH-registered health institutes in the area of high nursing
• At least one year of experience in the field of nursing.
• Have robust professional and public relations skills
• Professional communication and writing skills in local languages.
