Location: Kabul, Paktya, Kuduz, Balkh, Kandhar, Herat and Nangrhar, Afghanistan
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Evaluate provincial senior financial monitoring officers to assist and monitor the government and projects to make sure to receive the set goals.
- Site visits and for transaction verification and provides samples for each category of expenditure such as procurement, salary, maintenance costs, and related area’s development.
- Collecting information from recorded monitoring working papers.
- Make sure of on-time submission of record working papers and monitoring reports observations for review by the Senior Financial Monitoring Officer and managers.
- Senior financial monitoring officer’s assessment for financial and internal control review to make clear the existence and adequacy and operation of control relevant to project management.
- Must complete the sitting work plan for each month.
- Provide reports of daily activities to the line manager.
- Perform other duties that may ask by the line manager.
Eligibilities:
- Must obtain a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, audit, or economics.
- ACCA or MBA
- Must know about Afghanistan’s Financial and Procurement Laws and regulations.
- Excellent skills of computer MS Office
- Strong skills in communication.
- Excellent skills in Dari, English, and Pashto, both writing and speaking.
Desired competencies:
- Familiarity with World Bank procurement guidelines and financial policies.
- Be able to travel from zonal offices to provinces.
