Organization Description

Ian Pary was a young photographer who died at his age of 24 while he was on his assignment for The Sunday Times when the Romanian revolution happened in 1989.  Aidan Sullivan, the picture editor, and Ian’s friends and family established the Ian Parry Scholarship to create something positive from such a tragic death. Each year the Ian Pary Scholarship organizes an international photographic competition to recognize young photographers who are either are under 24 or attending a full-time photographic course.
