About the competition

Applications are now open for the YICCA  Art Contest 2021. It is an international competition for artists to promote the accepted artists and provide them with an opportunity to join the international market of contemporary arts. The competition is open to artists coming from various artistic areas and awards the finalists with a cash prize and the chance to showcase their submitted work in an art gallery. Prizes and benefits

The competition winners will win:

• € 3,000 for the first-place
• € 1,000 for the second-place

Besides, the winners will get the chance to:

• Promote their art through different channels:
• Exhibit the selected artworks in the exhibition space determined by the competition
• improve the relationship between finalist artists and critics, curators, galleries, public and private art institutions who will get access to the important exhibition
• Gain access to the maximum possible recognition through the advertising campaign that will follow the competition in all its phases
• The winning artists will be featured in the “YICCA” catalog, which will be distributed free of charge to the finalist artists themselves and will be accessible to professionals and the art organizations attending the inauguration of the exhibition event.

Who can participate in the competition?

• YICCA is open to all artists or groups of artists, both professionals and amateurs from any country in the world. All types of contemporary artworks such as painting, drawings, graphics, photographs, videos, mix media, sculptures, etc are allowed.
• There are no specific binding qualifications for entering the contest.

How to apply for this competition?

All interested applicants can complete registration and enter the competition through its online platform.

What to submit?

• All kinds of artworks are welcome, including video, installations, and performances.
  Participants must present all their works by a picture or a video that must contain a description of the work.
• All works must be available for the final exhibition and should be the artist’s property.

Technical specifications the submission must include:

• Pictures can be uploaded with formats: jpg or gif.

Videos:

• You need to send a (still) video frame for preview in formats: jpg or gif.
• The video has to be uploaded on vimeo.com.
• The system provides automatic resizing of frames for presentation in the preview pages.
