About the award

Deutsche Telekom is inviting submissions for its eighth Women’s STEM Award 2021 for those women who have already completed their bachelor or master’s thesis in the study field in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). STEM graduates from all across the world can submit their thesis with an emphasis on one of the strategic growth fields or those relevant to the prize.

So, if you are a woman, have studied a STEM subject, and almost completed your thesis, you are the right person to nominate yourself.

The prize topics include:

  • Cloud
  • Internet of Things
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Cyber Security
  • Networks of the Future.

The prizes

  • The best thesis will win 3,000 euros.
  • Each innovative topic, in STEM or with the related subject even outside of STEM, will be awarded 500 euros.

Eligibility criteria

  • Students and graduates in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) or relevant areas as per the prize topics from anywhere in the world can submit their Bachelor, Master and Diploma.
  • Your thesis can be written in English or German.
  • Your thesis has to have been submitted within the last 18 months to your university but shouldn’t have been marked.
  • The most convincing thesis will be chosen and awarded the first prize.

Evaluation

A panel of experts will evaluate all of the papers received and select the winning pieces of work together with its external jury member until the end of May.

Result notification

  • The organizer will inform the winners in writing and invite them to its award ceremony.
