Opportunity Description

 Overview

The United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) application for this course is open.

With the continuing growth of the world’s population since 1950, the levels of fertility are reducing worldwide and causing food and nutritional problems for inhabitants of our planet. From a projected 7.7 billion people worldwide in 2019, the medium-variant UN estimation shows that the global population could grow to almost 8.5 billion in 2030, 9.7 billion in 2050, and 10.9 billion in 2100.” Therefore, these demographic variations are closely interlinked with the issues of access to adequate, affordable, and nutritious food. In consideration of this, the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI), in collaboration with John Cabot University (JCU), is conducting the second edition of the Short Course on Food and Nutrition Security.
