Opportunity Description

The Space-Time international student art and design competition, sponsored by the ACM Special Interest Group for Computer Graphics Education Committee, is now accepting submissions for its 2024 edition. This competition is an excellent opportunity for students from school, college, university, or secondary school to showcase their work created through computer-based media.

Participants can submit a graphic poster for SIGGRAPH that revolves around the theme “the future of computer graphics and interactive techniques.” The works should meet the competition’s criteria and be created using the specified formats.

Type of competition: online poster exhibition 2024

 Exhibition location: selected work will be exhibited at the SIGGRAPH 2024 conference in Denver, Colorado and/or the SIGGRAPH Asia 2024 conference in Tokyo, Japan, online on the Education Committee website, and in promotional materials.

Benefits:

selected artists have the opportunity to exhibit their work at the international level and the first-place winner will receive full conference registration, and the two runners-up will receive 50% off conference registration.

Evaluation criteria:

  • International jurors will evaluate the submission based on the following criteria: artistic merit, design, originality, technical excellence, and content.

Limitation/Restriction

All submissions must respect the copyrights and should not use the intellectual property of others. The submitting artist should not claim the name/image/likeness (NIL) of products and people, as they belong to the respective owner(s). Any recognizable products or trademarks used in the submission will lead to disqualification. While generic examples of products and original designs by the submitting artist may be shown, student artists cannot use a product that can be easily identified with a specific company, regardless of whether or not the trademarked name is used.
