Qualifications:

• Applicants should be in good physical and mental health, free from infectious or contagious diseases and disorders that would hinder regular study.
• Applicants must be under 25 by September 1st, 2026.
• High school diploma by September 1st, 2026.
• Competency in scientific research and maintaining a minimum academic grade level of 75% or above are required. Accepted standardized tests include the SAT, ACT, A-Level, IB, or equivalent.
• Chinese or English meeting specified requirements.

Language Requirements:

• • Chinese: HSK Level 5 (180 or above)
  • English:
    • IELTS Academic Test overall 6.0 or above (no less than 5.5 in each element)
    • TOEFL 80 or above (iBT home edition, Essentials, DI code C317 are accepted)

Nationality:

• • Non-Chinese citizens with valid passports.
  • Former Chinese citizens must have acquired foreign nationality or canceled Chinese nationality before April 30, 2022, and have a record of more than two years of actual foreign residency from April 30, 2022, to April 30, 2026.
  • Applicants with Chinese citizen parents must provide supporting documents verifying foreign nationality acquisition or cancellation of Chinese nationality.

Step 1: Documents Preparation

• • Ensure all requirements are met and prepare application materials accordingly.

Step 2: Complete Online Application

• • Create an account and log in to NPU’s online application portal linked below.
  • Pay a non-refundable fee of 600 RMB (about 90 USD) upon completion.
  • Use a valid email address for registration, as all notifications will be sent there.
  • Upload the required documents before the deadline.

Step 3: Application Materials Review

• • The Admissions Office authenticates materials.
  • Academic schools assess academic competency, with the review process taking around ten working days.
  • Applicants should monitor the review status on the application system and check their email for updates.

Step 4: Examination/Interview

• • Qualified applicants receive notifications regarding the examination or interview.
  • Results are announced via email a week after the examination or interview.

Step 5: Registration Deposit

• • Pre-admitted students must pay a 3000 RMB registration deposit, refundable after on-site registration.

  • Local bank or online wire transfer, with receipts uploaded to the application system.

Step 6: Mailing of Admission Documents

• • Provide valid addresses for admission documents to be mailed.

Step 7: Registration
