Call for Applications: Funded Short-Term IT and Artificial Intelligence Fellowship in Russia

The InteRussia is currently accepting applications for its 2026 Fellowship Programme, specifically designed for foreign specialists in the field of Information Technology. Hosted by the prestigious Novosibirsk State University, this year’s program is focused on two cutting-edge tracks: Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Smart City Systems.

This immersive, one-month fellowship offers international IT professionals a unique opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge at a leading Russian university, attend specialized courses led by prominent industry experts, and participate in practical workshops. Throughout the program, participants will collaborate on team-based projects, culminating in the preparation and presentation of an individual scientific research proposal.

Financial Benefits and Fellowship Terms

The InteRussia Fellowship provides excellent financial support to ensure selected specialists can participate comfortably.

The organizers will cover the following expenses:

• Round-trip travel from the participant’s country of residence to Novosibirsk, Russia.
• Accommodation in double rooms at a local hotel.
• A scholarship stipend of 30,000 rubles for the duration of the program.

Participants are responsible for covering:

• Medical insurance.
• Visa application fees.
• Daily meals during the fellowship period.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this competitive fellowship, applicants must meet the following strict requirements at the time of application:

1. Citizenship: Must be a non-Russian citizen.
2. Residency: Must currently reside outside the Russian Federation.
3. Professional Affiliation: Must have absolutely no academic or employment affiliation with Russian educational institutions or employers.
4. Age Requirement: Must be between 25 and 40 years old.
5. Language Proficiency: Must possess a minimum of B2 level proficiency in the English language.
6. Academic/Professional Background: Must be a qualified specialist in the field of Information Technology.

2. Initiate Application: Navigate to the “My Projects” section and click on “Create Application.”
3. Select the Program: Choose the competition titled “InteRussia AI 2026”.
4. Choose Your Specialization: Select either “Artificial intelligence in medicine” or “Artificial intelligence in an urban environment (smart city)” and confirm your choice.
5. Complete Details: Fill out all required sections of the application form accurately.
6. Upload Portfolio: Attach your academic/professional portfolio, ensuring you include working links to your research texts and previous IT projects.
