Siemens Design Challenge is created for young engineers who are focusing on reducing poverty and solving one of the world challenges. The challenge provides applicants with a platform to increase what is humanly possible, making new spaces to dream, enhance, and promote new solutions through achieving sustainable development goals. The program invites everyone, not only engineers from any part of the world, to create their solutions for making the society’s situation better, solve one of the biggest problems of the world and access to Siemens software and technologies.

Location: USA

Criteria:

• Applicants need to provide a text-based application, describe the problem with a solution.
• Introduce your team and your product concept in a short video about 60 sec.
• Needs of your end-user research.
• Your concept should be designed in 3D CAD
• Make clear your design according to the research you have performed and what is your justification for your decisions.
• Your work simulation.
• Explain your proposed solution in a short video.

Statement of your problem:

• Design your solution to reduce the farm to table food loss in lower resource settings that lack electricity.

• Make familiar yourself with the resource section in:
  • SDGs and 50 Breakthroughs
  • Materials provided by Engineering for Change and Siemens
• Find a problem or opportunity with solutions.
• Find the required documents of the design parameters.
• Add your team with different background.
