Coordination of Rehabilitation and Development Services for Afghanistan (CRDSA) is a non-governmental and non-political charity organization working in the fields of Sustainable Livelihood, Human Rights Promotion, Civil Society Consolidation, Returnees/IDPs Protection, and Reintegration in Afghanistan. CRDSA was founded in 2002 and is currently active in Herat, Farah, Ghor, Nimroz, and Badghis provinces.

Job summary:

CRDSA is looking for 8 Social Organizers in four above-mentioned provinces. You can read the details below and apply accordingly.

Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct community sessions during the project lifespan in targeted communities (with the local Shoras at district and village level).
  • Liaise the project team, including defense attorneys, interns, management, monitoring entities, and stakeholders to project with the area on the ground.
  • Produce and deliver monthly, and bi-weekly plans and monitoring reports to the project coordinator/ project manager.
  • Organize different events, including training programs, street theatres, CSO coalition meetings, annual meetings, national stakeholders meetings, kick-off & inception workshop meetings, etc.
  • Conduct bi-monthly meetings with project recipients at the district/village level.
  • Facilitate performance evaluation of AGO to connect project management with government departments and data collection.
  • Supervise the current progress and impact of project inputs on direct recipients in the target area.
  • Assist with determination of beneficiaries, chiefly women and children victims of crimes and victims of corruption-related crimes at target provinces.
  • Work in close cooperation with defense attorneys and interns to improve the quality of on-the-job training of interns.
  • Recognize and report any problems to the project coordinator & project manager and offer solutions.
  • Oversee the attendance of the trainees and trainers and report the absence.
  • Follow on the cases of the clients as necessary for social reintegration.
  • Prepare case studies, success stories, and achievement reports of the project as per request by the direct supervisor.
  • Report learnings to project coordinator, project manager for acceptance of the most effective method for implementing the project accomplishments.
  • Conduct community dialogue meetings
  • Provide data for innovative digital technologies to cover younger beneficiary groups.
  • Build 360 CBHRCs at the community level (village or smaller urban areas) and 40 district level (5 districts, 8 provinces) rural and urban communities.
  • Assist with the project coordinator and project manager through the provision of sub-grants for CSOs under project agreement.

 Job requirements:

1. Qualifications and competencies:

  • Ability to work independently and also under stress
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Robust interpersonal skills and ability to develop working relations with target communities and project team
  • Secondary level education with technical training is an asset
  • Preference is given to bachelor graduates of law/Sharia faculties
  • Experience in Community Development Projects
  • A minimum of one year of relevant NGO experience at the national level is mandatory
