Job Description:

Job Summary

Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA) is hiring 55 interns in HRM for its provincial office in Maidan Wardak. Therefore, interested fresh graduates or current university students can read the details and apply accordingly.

Scope of the work

This is three months on-the-job training program only intended for those Afghan youth with no experience in office management. The main objective of this program is to provide an opportunity and foster the capabilities of Afghan youth particularly Fresh graduates to apply knowledge and skills in a practical working environment as well as gain experience in their field of study and interest.

  • The trainees are to enjoy extensive knowledge concerning activities of the various departments and units of SCA.
  • Besides valuable knowledge, daily transportation costs (coming and going, if applicable), lunch, monthly cash allowance, and a training completion certificate will also be provided to the Interns.

Main Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Adhere to SCA rules, regulations, Human Resource policies, organizational structure, and working environment.
  • Practically learn downloading/Receiving and logging CVs for vacant positions including maintenance of the CVs databank in the appropriate order.
  • Practically carry out the screening of applications and its shortlisting/recruitment process
    contribute to training on interview panel management and keeping classified discussion/ information regarding new staffing,
  • Get training on preparing Staff Attendance Sheets and their daily check-up.
  • Comply with the day-to-day leave process of staff and closely follow up their leave plan and record.
  • Receive training on maintaining & updating, personnel files and other relevant records and preparing new file for newly employed staff based on the available checklist
  • Train on Human Resources Management major concepts and theoretical background information.
  • Receive training on new hiring documents management, CVs/ applications receiving, downloading, recording and managing,
  • attend training on communication methods and techniques for interviews or test, and receive training on new recruitments data entry into HRMIS,
  • Acquaint themselves with other relevant HR related theoretical and practical concepts

Job requirements 

  • Have graduated from a recognized university in BBA (Specialization in Human Resource Management) or be in their 7th semester or a have graduated within the last 24 months but not yet
    have been employed anywhere.
  • Have no formal work experience
  • Preference is given to female applicants (SCA aim that 2/3 of interns are female)
  • Be 30 or below the age of 30 years.
