Job summary

RRAA is hiring 24 Social Organizers for Ghazni province who will work to implement its project(s).

Job Description:

As part of RRAA’s Citizen Charter/IDLG program team, the social organizer will provide support to develop a social development process in targeted communities. Besides, the incumbents will Identify and analyze community difficulties and recommend actions to resolve those problems. The position is based in Ghazni City and includes regular travels to communities, too.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and coordinating routine and weekly work plans with Mobilization & Training Officer, Chief Engineer, and Provincial Managers.
  • Executing the approved plans in the targeted communities.
  • Raising awareness of communities (CDCs and Gozar) on Citizen Charter program.
  • Facilitating and assisting the formation of CDCs and Gozar according to Citizen Charter manuals.
  • Facilitating CDCs and Gozar election and registration.
  • Supporting CDCs ad Gozar in opening bank accounts.
  • Organizing required training for CDCs and Gozar members.
  • Creating basic community profiles and facilitating the preparation of community development plans and formation of participatory monitoring teams.
  • Actively working for women empowerment, participation, and inclusion of women in the process of identifying their needs and enhancing their involvement in CDCs and Gozars sub-committees and community decision making.
  • Working closely with susceptible and underserved groups in the communities & encouraging them to participate in the program cycle.
  • Facilitating meetings with the villagers to identify problems and discuss likely solutions.
  • Connecting communities with government and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitating the formation of monitoring, procurement, and maintenance committees.
  • Help communities in boosting their awareness on disaster risk prevention and risk mitigation procedures.
  • Identifying champion CDCs.
  • Facilitating CDCs and Gozars monthly meetings making sure that meetings are well managed, meeting minutes are maintained and the decisions are tracked.
  • Gathering program and project data via online software and tablets, preparing reports in the precise formats, and submitting to the provincial manager.
  • Monitoring CDC and Gozar activities and reporting to the provincial manager.
  • Attending ToT workshops or meetings at provincial and central levels.

Job Requirements:

  1. 2 years of experiences in the implementation of development projects or/and programs
  2. At least a High School degree; having bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or economics, is desirable.
  3. Ability to conduct and deliver training to communities.
  4. Be able to travel within communities in Ghazni city.
  5. Ability to use tablets for online surveys and data gatherings
  6. Good Computer ability and skills
  7. Be able to speak and write in Dari and Pashto
  8. Ability to communicate effectively
  9. Problem-solving skills
  10. Ability to work under pressure and overtime.
