Job Description:

Job Summary

ATR Consulting is recruiting 20 Quality Assurance Assistant who will work in Kabul. Interested applicants can read the details below and apply accordingly.

Scope of the work

The Quality Assurance Assistants’ key responsibilities include reviewing the quality of data gathered during research on an array of socioeconomic issues; handling the monitoring and evaluating (M&E) assessing projects implemented by ATR, and reporting any data quality issue to the Quality Assurance Officer.

Duties and responsibilities

• Quality Assurance Assistants work under the direct observation of Quality Assurance officers and are responsible for the verification of the quality of collected data across multiple projects.
• Provide feedback in order to further improve the effectiveness of the Quality Assurance department.

Mobilization & Preparation:

• Assist in the process of coding surveys and other data collection tools;
• Test data collection means;
• Assist the project team in finalizing the field researchers’ recruitment;
• Establish a database with finalized tools.

Training:

• Set up smartphones, survey applications, interface with data servers for field researchers;
• Partake in training on data collection & participate in training evaluation.

Quality Assurance of Data Collection:

• Monitor Field Researchers;
• Assess the quality of data collected (through sampling, GPS points, interview length, audio files, etc.);
• Clean data;
• Recognize outliers and inconsistencies in the data;
• In the event of compromised and/or low-quality data, call back respondents;
• Enter cleaned data into the database;
• Assess the quality of translations;
• Evaluate Field Researchers’ performance;
• Ensure the accurate filing of all data (questionnaires, photographs, interview recordings, monitoring reports, etc.) on the server.

Qualifications and requirements

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, or engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent in Pashto, Dari and English.
• 2 years of data management experience
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
• Strong computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, SPSS, STATA, and ATLAS.)
• Knowledge of data collection software and platforms, especially SurveyCTO, Kobo Toolbox, and ODK)
