Organization Description

Formed on 4 March 1790 during the French Revolution, Calvados is one of the original 83 departments. The department was part of the former province of Normandy. Today, Calvados is a department in the Normandy region that belongs to North-Western France, and its name comes from a cluster of rocks off the English Channel coast.

Bayeux is a community in the Calvados department and the home of the Bayeux Tapestry, which represents the events finish to the Norman conquest of England. Please find more details about the Bayeux Calvados on its official website.
