The World Youth Alliance is inviting applications from each corner of the world for its internship program. WAY’s Internship Program provides opportunities for young people who are inspired by the ideas and work of the World Youth Alliance (WYA) to attain professional skills working on WYA’s projects and a practical learning experience on WYA’s core ideas. Projects seek to foster each student’s specific academic background and interests.

Location: both online and non-remote

Duration: differing (but online internships are for three months)

Internship categories

WYA offers three types of internships:

  1. Regional internships

Regional internships are offered at the WYA’s regional offices, and interns can advance to the central internship after completing a regional one and being active members in their countries.

2. Headquarters internship

Internships at the organization’s headquarters are offered to applicants of various expertise and backgrounds.

3. Online internships

Internships of three months length are available to applicants online too.  These programs provide members, both on campus or at home, the opportunity to gain direct training and experience in online event management, blog writing, and WYA representation. In addition, WYA welcomes specialized online applicants for marketing, social media, and graphic design support for its programs. Online internships are offered in every regional office.

Internship benefits

Interns enjoy mentorship and training from WYA staff members, including:

  1. a) Introductory Training

Interns receive WYA’s Certified Training Program (CTP) and learn about human rights philosophy and the dignity of the human being.

  1. b) Project Management

Work on projects suitable for participants’ interests and strengths under the observation of WYA staff.

  1. c) Networking

Attend different sessions and meet new faces as they represent WYA on various occasions.

Eligibility criteria

  • Young and motivated applicants from several regions of the world can apply.
  • Candidates who possess a strong desire to preserve and promote human dignity while driving a positive change in society are especially welcome to apply.
  • Candidates must be proactive, self-driven, creative, detail-oriented, and modest individuals with a willingness to learn.

Key dates

There are various deadlines and time periods for this internship as per each region. Also, there are three batches in each region, and for each category of the program, according to which you can schedule your internship.
