Opportunity Description

About the call

The Korean Development Institute (KDI) in collaboration with the World Bank and other academic and development partners is inviting researchers and practitioners for the call on “Data Analytics for Anticorruption in Public Administration” to present their abstracts to the WB-KDI. Furthermore, the Governance Global Practice (GGP) of the World Bank is generating data analytic tools to advance the analysis and measurement of corruption as part of its new Anticorruption Initiatives.

About the World Bank’s research program

Given the growing availability of data and in line with its Initiative, the World Bank is developing tools to enhance data analytic research tools and techniques and knowledge in measuring and analyzing corruption. The research program includes three phases of activities: a call for papers; a symposium; and a special collection and inclusion of articles in Data & Policy, a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Cambridge University Press. So, if you are a researcher interested in combatting corruption, it is a distinct opportunity to grab.

  4. Generating new knowledge that helps policymakers and researchers in tackling and overcoming ethical and technical barriers relevant to data quality, privacy, and access issues in the anti-corruption field.

Benefits

  • Authors whose abstracts are winning will be invited to deliver their completed research at a Symposium hosted by the World Bank and the Korea Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management in September 2021.
