About the program

The program focus on capacity building, consideration of the convergence of the chemistry and biology, as well as, the objective of the workshop is to raise awareness among young scientists on the policy and diplomacy aspects that are related to the use of chemical and biological subjects or international treaties, if your ability and field of study is meet the requirements, have a look at the criteria then fill the application form.

What workshop contains:

  • Theoretical lectures and interactive session on the topics below:
  • The promotion and control of the science and technology and industrial activities in chemical and biochemical science and related regulations imposed by the international treaties in the international organization.
  • How the development of science and technology and its effect on international security and on the implementation of international treaties.
  •  Science advise and science diplomacy
  • the concept of sustainability in industrial and research activities;
  • issues related to the multiple uses of science;
  • ethics in science and responsible research practices; and
  • a study tour on a selected topic.

Who can apply:

  • Applicants with a Ph.D. in the natural sciences such as biology, physics, chemistry or related Engineering
  • Have citizenship of the eligible country (see the list of eligible countries here)
  • Have at least five years of work experience in the related area
  • The applicant’s age must not be more than 40 years
  • Have a high level of English Language proficiency (writing and speaking)
  • The preference will be given to the female applicants
