If you are a researcher from Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Iran, Sri lanka or Bangladesh, you can participate in a training to enhance your skills. This training is taking place in Istanbul, Turkey.

WISA Program 

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, Imperial College London in partnership with Turkey, South Asian Countries is pleased to invite applications for professional development training from Junior researchers, early career academics and international research project managers under the Water Initiative of South Asia (WISA) phase two project.

The training consists of a Researcher Connect course and workshop aimed to provide participants with the vision, understanding and skills to develop professionally in key areas at international level. It will be led by a leading higher education and research skills trainer from the UK.

Location: Istanbul, Turkey

Period: 19-27 July 2018

Application deadline: 14 June 2018

Result notification: 29 June 2018

Eligibility criteria:

  • Be based at higher education and research institutions in Turkey and South Asian countries including India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Iran, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
  • Females and disabled are encouraged to apply
  • Have an academic degree, research or teaching from a Science and Engineering background with research interests and expertise in water resources.
  • Recently started an academic career with a PhD awarded after January 2011.
  • English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS Band 6 (No official proof is required)
