UNICEF offers internship opportunity for the school graduates and new university enrolled students to have practical experience in UNICEF’s work and UN system.

Qualified and eligible applicants will work in Headquarters and country offices of the UNICEF. Successful applicants will gain practical work experience in UNICEF’s work and the United Nations system under the direction of experienced supervisors and UNICEF staff.

Job purpose:

  • Empowering the UNICEF’s positions
  • Providing practical work experience
  • Supporting the offices’ research and administrative tasks

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Assistance in reviewing and analysis of the donor proposals and reports presented by UNICEF country offices.
  • The analysis of Japan’s ODA for children’s series must be supported by applicants
  • Translating supports, writing reports and preparing presentation materials
  • The logistics and administrative support for programs, meetings, and any related events must be provided by the applicants for the Japan-UNICEF Annual Consultation in 30th October 2019.
  • Extra duties which will be given by the supervisor.


  • Applicants must be graduated from the school, or be new enroll in a university
  • Have at least two years of work experience, the preference will be given for those who have professional work experience
  • Applicants must be able to work for 3-4 days per week for 2-6 months
  • Have the ability and be interested in working on children’s rights, children protection, education, health, nutrition, gender, youth and etc.
  • Being knowledgeable and experienced in international cooperation, besides humanitarian and development assistance.
  • Suitable for those applicants who have experience in project formulation or project report writing.
  • Be proficient in (oral and written) English and Japanese language.
  • Have good skills in the computer (Office, Excel, PowerPoint)
