Opportunity Description

United Nations accepts applications for Youth Champions for Disarmament. Young people who are motivated to use their talents to help raise awareness and promote change for a more peaceful and secure world can apply to this fully-funded opportunity.

Young people with a background in other areas such as history, science, economics, media, film, languages, dance, song, visual arts, theatre, creative writing or any other fields and applicants with interest in international relations or international affairs are strongly encouraged to apply.

Selected applicants will have the opportunity to receive training in general principles of disarmament, non-proliferation and arm control through on-line courses and a two-week in-person study tour in the following cities.

Location: Vienna, Geneva, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki

  • Opportunity to exchange ideas with disarmament experts from diverse backgrounds such as civil society, think tanks, and the diplomatic field.
