Are you a young journalist from developing countries?

Are you interested to grab an opportunity to have interviews with UN Officials, UN secretary general and visit other Media organizations?

If yes, you can apply to UN Reham Al-Farra Memorial Journalism Fellowship a 3 week program that provides the opportunity for selected fellows to interview senior officials, attend special briefing and exchange ideas with other fellows and colleagues from around the world.  Mandated in December 1980, the fellowship is offered each year, to bring a group of journalists to New York to cover the opening of the General Assembly.  The Fellowship was renamed in 2003 in honor of Reham Al-Farra a 29 yearl old Jordanian Public Information officer who was killed in in a bombing at UN headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq.

Program date: September 15, to October 5, 2019

Location: New York, U.S.A

Duration: 3 week

Who can apply?

  • Be a young journalists aged between 22 to 35
  • Be a full time journalist
  • Have high proficiency in English language
  • Own a passport with at least 6 months of validity beyond the program starting in September 2019.
  • Be from a developing country or a country with economy in transition:
