Background information

Students for Liberty is a rapidly developing network of pro-liberty students from all over the world. It is the largest libertarian student organization in the world.

The Students for Liberty Local Coordinators Program is the leading program for promoting ideas of free market and individual freedom on university campuses. SFL Local Coordinators (LCs) program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students who are the face of liberty in their college campuses in the context of SFL LCs program. The LCs in the campuses are student leaders who inspire other students to defend the ideas of liberty and a freer society and world. This program is a highly competitive one.

Who this program is looking for?

This grassroots program looks for top strong student leaders to spread the ideas of a free society by launching new pro-liberty student groups, arranging events to advance the ideas of liberty, providing resources to student groups, and determining and mentoring other pro-liberty students. Students in this Program acquire the unique opportunity to advance liberty and develop their skills with like-minded individuals from around the globe who work together to advance freedom and achieve a freer future for everyone.

Eligibilities

Ideal candidates will have to demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Local coordinators must be current university students (undergraduate or graduate) in South Asia;
  • Interested applicants should be able to dedicate 2-6 hours per week to the program for one academic year
  • Be professional, excellent communicators and agreeable;
  • Have at least one-year leadership experience in a pro-liberty student group;
  • Passion for hosting campus events and enthusiasm in activism;
  • Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Interested to develop their own skillsets;
  • Solid self-motivation to conclude projects with little or no oversight;
  • A passion for the ideas of liberty and for making the world a more liberated place; and
  • Enjoy staying up to 2 am to talk to other group members and discuss the program theme
