About the Fellowship
Students who have a doctorate or equivalent, Mid-career and senior scholars from all over the world can apply to be one of 40 fellows through the Residential fellowship offered by National Humanities Center annually. A rich intellectual setting for individual research and brainstorming is available for fellows. The fellows will have access to various resources such as universities, conference rooms and etc. In addition the National Humanities Center will provide travel expenses, a stipend up to 65,000 dollars and visa for fellows and dependents.
Fellowship Details:
Duration: One academic year – 9 months (September 2019- May 2020 )
Location:
- North Carolina
- Near Chapel Hill, Durham
- Raleigh
Fellowship benefits:
The fellowship center provides:
- All materials required for individual research
- Half salary up to $65,000 (half remaining expected to be paid by Home Institution )
- Travel expenses of fellows and dependents
- J1- visa sponsor for non-US citizens
Scholars from the following fields can apply:
- All humanities
- National and social sciences
- Arts
- Professions
- Public life
What is required?
- Project proposal (1000 word)
- Short bibliography
- CV (up to four pages )
- One page Outline of project structure
- Contact details of three references
