Who can apply?

  • Applicants must be nationals of countries receiving official development assistance from the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Application Guideline:

  1. Apply to the University of Oxford for an undergraduate course through UCAS by October 15, 2023.
  2. Applicants have successfully secured a place at the University of Oxford for the 2024 entry.
  3. Review guidance notes and application questions available under ‘Related documents.’
  4. Complete the online Undergraduate scholarship application form by noon (UK time) on February 7, 2024, if offered a place.
  5. For 2024 entry applicants applying by the February 7, 2024 scholarship deadline, the selection process occurs in March 2024.
  6. Applicants will be notified of the application outcome in April 2024.

  • Scholars must submit an annual report detailing academic social activities, and achievements.
  • Continued eligibility for the award in subsequent years depends on satisfactory academic progress.
  • Competition for the scholarship is intense, and the University lacks additional funding for unsuccessful candidates.
  • Scholarship applications for deferred entry to Oxford’s undergraduate course should be submitted in January of the intended starting year.
  • Oxford’s Astrophoria Foundation Year Programme applicants can apply for the scholarship in January of the year they plan to start their undergraduate degree course.
  • Confirmation of scholarship eligibility for the undergraduate course will be communicated to students during their Foundation Year enrollment.
  • Applications for undergraduate scholarships will only be considered once for each applicant.
