Opportunity Description

Photography 4 Humanity, which is supported by the United Nations, invites international photographers to bring to life the power of human rights through their photos. The competition theme is highlighting illustrating courage, despair, hope, injustice, compassion, human rights failures, or victories in ways smalls and large. Interested and qualified photographers are highly encouraged to show their skills and submit their photographs before 31 May 2020.

Prizes:

  • 5000 USD Dollars as cash prize
  • Successful photos will be showcased at the United Nations Headquarters in NYC and Fotografiska, New York.

Rules and regulation:

  • Applicant’s age must be above 18 years.
  • Submission after the closing date will not be considered.
  • The submission photos should reflect human rights subjects such as courage, despair, hope, injustice, hate, compassion, human rights failures, or victories.
  • Each submission should be included title, date, location, description, name of the photographer.
  • Photos should be taken between 1 September 2019 to 31 August 2020.

Terms and conditions:

  • Amateur and professional photographers can apply.
  • Provide your personal information for date reviewing such as name, email address, mobile number, and mailing address.
  • Each winner’s name will be published online.
  • Winners will receive the prize by wire transfer or other electronic methods.No alternative option for cash prize available.
  • Each applicant can submit up to five photos.
  • Add photographer name, title, location, date description of each submission.
  • Successful photos will be asked for the original type of each picture which is shot by the camera to confirm the integrity.
  • The competition has the right to disqualify and remove any photograph that does not meet the competition requirements.
  • The submission should comply with the ethical guidelines of the National Press Photographers Associationunicef.org/ceecis/media_1482.html

Submission formats:

  • Do not add people or objects, rearranged, reversed, distorted, or removed from the photograph.
  • Do not use HDR and Stitched panoramic images.
  • Images color should be RGB or sRGB format.
  • JPG/JPEG format is accepted.
  • File size should not be more than 5MB
  • Do not add watermark, logo, or overlay of any sort.
  • Grayscale images are acceptable.
  • The submission must no reflect the sole discretion of the Sponsor, contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or inappropriate content.
  • Applicants can crop their submission.
  • The applicant can omit scratches or sensor dust.
  • Spot, dodge, burn, sharp, and contrast is also acceptable.
