Applicants who are using the art to bring a change in the society, are invited to apply for the One Young World Art Fellowship to attend the One Young World Summit 2019 in London, UK and get a month-long art residency in France.

About the OYW Art Scholarship

Art is not stationary or two-dimensional and passive. It is active and a universal tool for unbridled expression, empathy, and social change. Today the World needs excellent art and great artists to widen our consciousness and drive the conversation around the complex web of issues we face—political, ecological and social. For this scholarship, OYW is seeking the next generation of artists following in the footsteps of Mapplethorpe, Banksy, and Ono, employing their art to generate social progress.

One young world summit is an annual summit organized in a different city each year. Through this summit, around 3000 young leaders from around the world are gathering to address the global challeges and a find a solution for them. This year, it will be organized in London, United Kingdom for 5 days in October 2019.

What does the scholarship provide?

  • Participate at OYW 2019 summit on fully funded sponsorship providing the following:
    • Full Access to the OYW 2019 summit in London, UK
    • Accommodation in a hotel on a shared basis during the summit
    • The travel to and from London (flights in economy)
    • Catering which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner
    • Transportation between accommodation and venue of the summit
    • hand-outs and supporting materials of the summit


  • Join a one-month residency program in Francy to design and delive a new piece of work includes the following:
    • The travel to Bordeaux/Bergerac (Flights in economy)
    • Accommodation in residency with other artists
    • Catering ( breakfast, lunch and dinner)
    • A One time £2000 grant to cover expenses

Conditions and requirement:

  • Candidate should Provide their CV and art portfolio.
  • Have proved a commitment to using art as a vehicle for positive impact
  • The age of the applicant should be between 18-35.
