About the challenge
Submission is now open for the United Nations Human Rights Office of the High Commissioner (CHCHR) 4th Human Rights Youth Challenge. On the occasion of World Water Day (22 March 2021), the UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights to safe drinking water and sanitation is organizing a Fourth Human Rights Youth Challenge. So, if you are a youth passionate about climate change and its impact on human rights, get involved. Don’t miss this opportunity to share your thoughts on climate change and the threat it poses.

Benefits
The UN Special Rapporteur will invite the winners to join him and deliver a speech on the sidelines Human Rights Council Summit in September 2021.
Besides, this is an opportunity for youth to exhibit their knowledge, understanding and care about the human rights to water and sanitation by creating unique content.
Eligibilities
- The competition is open to youths from across the world who fall in the age category considered eligible for this edition of the challenge.
- Youths at the ages of 16-24 can apply and participate in this challenge.
How to apply?
Participants can apply online by submitting their prepared video or its link online.
What to submit?
If you would like to join this challenge, you have to prepare a 2-5 minute video on “The impact of climate change on the human rights to water and sanitation” and submit it using the link.
You can submit videos in any of the three languages i.e. English, French or Spanish.
