About the program

ACCR, with the collaboration of the French Ministry of Culture, has designed and offer Odyssée artist-in-residency program to artists, researchers, cultural activists, culture professionals from all countries except France who intend to carry out artistic and cultural projects within French cultural centers.

The 2021 call for application is now open and interested applicants looking to benefit from this opportunity are requested to apply.

Host institutions:  Various CCRs (Cultural Encounter Centers/Heritage Site for Culture)

Notification of results: July 2021

Duration: 1-6 months

Benefits

The program provides the following benefits to the selected artists in residency:

• € 1200/ month and travel costs (up to a specified level depending on the distance from the applicants’’ country to France)
• Free residence in the host center
• Restauration fees
• Provision of required materials for the residency projects

Eligibilities

• Artists, culture professionals, researchers working in the diverse areas of arts and culture are welcome to apply for the program from all countries.
• Applications for the program must be in compliance with the artistic project of the assigned cultural center in France.
• Women are strongly encouraged to apply.

How to apply?

There are two ways for applying to this program as follows.

1. Eligible applicants applying for a project within a cultural center have to apply online by filling in the form below and attach the required documents to the form.

Alternatively, applicants can send their projects to the chosen center, with one copy to the ACCR office, prior to the deadline.

2. Those wishing to apply for a residency period in the fields of cultural management and networking should send their applications directly to the ACCR, as follows:

B- Emailing the applications to residences@accr-europe.org mentioning “Odyssée 2021” in the subject box.

Note: in applying by forms in both manners, please name your attached documents as per this guide: Type of document_ SURNAME_ Name , i.e. CV_SMITH_John

• Please apply early and do not wait until the last day of the application deadline.

Application documents

Applications should consist of:  

• Curriculum vitae /short biography;
• Personal project for the period in residency in accordance with the global project of the host center;
• Collection of works or link to the recording of music or theatre creations available on-line, if applicable, whenever likely;
• Cover letter;
• Recommendation letter;
• Proof of residence (recent appliance bill i.e. telephone, gas, electric);
• Copy of passport or national identity card.
