Opportunity Description

International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), in partnership with News Corp and the Wall Street Journal (WJS), accepts applications for News Corp Media Fellowship. ICFJ Fellowship is an opportunity to improve digital journalism skills and support the development of data- and digitally-driven projects. This year’s News Corp Media Fellowship comprises digital innovation training, grant funding, and a virtual newsroom job with WSJ.

The journalist will be embedded virtually with WSJ from 15 September – 15 December. Additionally, the fellows will travel and meet WSJ colleagues at the nearest bureau to them. During this one-week site visit, fellows will attend meetings with newsroom leaders and various teams. The program will cover all expenses and costs during the site visit week. In general, fellows will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to Wall Street Journal projects on newsletter interactions and analyzing audience engagement
  • Lead peer-to-peer discussions
  • Endorse ideas and knowledge exchange
  • Make relationships and partnerships with WSJ teams
