Opportunity Description
The Reagan-Fascell Democracy fellowship is a federally funded international exchange program offered by National Endowment for Democracy (NED) to democracy activists, journalists, civil society leaders, and scholars from all over the world to have a five-month fully-funded residency at National Endowment for Democracy in Washington D.C. USA. to do independent research on democracy in a specific country or region.
Applicants can apply on either the practitioner or scholarly track. There are no specific degrees required for the Practitioner track, but applicants are expected to have practical experience working for the promotion of democracy or human rights in their country.
Applicants of the Scholarly track should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and a detailed outline of a research project for fellowship such as university or college professors, analysts at think tanks, research centers, writers, public intellectuals.

Deadline:

Eligibilities:
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Be proficient in the English language
- Applicant must be able to attend the fellowship for 5 months
- The focus of their project should be on the political, social, economic, legal or cultural aspects of democratic development.
Practitioner track:
