MJ Bear Fellowship
Promising international journalists who wish to expand the boundaries of digital news through continuous creative and innovative projects are welcomed to apply for MJ bear fellowship and participate in the Online News Association (ONA) Conference on a fully sponsored trip. Three fellows will be selected each year, two from the United States or Canada and one fellow from another country.

Eligibility:
- Aged between 23 and 30 (born after September 15,1989- 1996)
- Working as a digital journalist
- English fluency
- Involved in a digital journalism project
- Not be Full-time students

- Link to a project that is ongoing or started after 1 January, 2018
- A letter of recommendation from an employer, instructor or technology partner
Application process:
Applicants are required to complete the application from and provide the link to a project. The provided links must be public and do not require password. The application has five parts. It should be noted that before starting, applicants need to prepare all the supporting documents in English.
- Contact Information, Resume and Photo
- A description and link to your digital journalism experiment or project, that is either continuing or started after January 1, 2018. The project needs to show spark, creativity and innovation and explain how your action plan develops digital journalism or provides precious outcomes. (max. 500 words, a multimedia presentation maximum 3 minutes)
- One recommendation letter from employer, instructor or technology partner confirming the applicant’s role in the project (possibly one typed page)
- Personal Statement (max. 300 words) or a multimedia presentation (max. 1 minute)
- Professional Mentoring: what topics you would like to be covered in three group online workshop sessions? (max. 200 words )
