Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and contribute to the program development and planning program management, monitoring and delivery of results
- Assist in technical and operational support to program implementation
- Contributing to the preparation, design, and management of health-related programs and establishing a strategic plan for development
- Participating in discussions on the planning of health programs, preparing a sector of the health program proposal, and making sure the program aligns with UNICEF’s plan, country program, and making sure it is in integration with the UNDAF, regional strategies, and national priorities.
- Cooperate with colleagues and partners in defining strategies and methodologies.
- Plan and coordinate with internal and external partners to establish monitoring benchmarks, performance indicators, and other UNICEF/UN system indicators and measurements
- Join in the monitoring and evaluation exercises, program reviews, and yearly sectoral reviews with the government and other counterparts.
- Evaluate monitoring and evaluation reports to identify the gaps, strengths, and weaknesses in program management.
- Monitoring the program/project via different field visits, surveys, and exchange of information in cooperation with stakeholders.
- Ensuring the appropriate use of sectoral program resources and confirming compliance with organizational rules and procedures and donor commitments.
- Preparing regular program/project reports for the management, donors, and other partners to keep them updated.
- Record policy papers, briefs, and other strategic program materials for management use and consideration
- Taking part in emergency preparedness initiatives for program development /responding to emergencies in the country as needed.
- Building an effective and close network with health sectors, government counterparts, allies, donors, and other academicians.

Requirement for Health Specialist (NOC) level:
- The applicants should have a master’s or higher degree in Public Health/Nutrition, Pediatric Health, Family Health, Health Research, Global/International Health, Health Policy or Management, Environmental Health Sciences, Biostatistics, Socio-Medical, Health Education, Epideminology, or other related fields
- Should have at least five years experience in the corresponding fields
- Experience in UN system agency or organization and familiarity with emergency is preferred
- Applicants must be fluent in the English Language (Other official UN language is an asset)
Requirement for Health Specialist (NOB) Level
- The candidates should have a university degree in public health or other mentioned majors
- Having at least 2 years of experience in the related fields
- Being fluent in the English Language (Knowing other UN Official languages is a plus point)
