Opportunity Description

Applications are now open for the Goethe Talents Scholarships 2023 to young Global South, North Africa or West- and Central- Asia musicians. This scholarship program occurs with the cooperation of Pop-Kultur and Goethe Institute.

This 12-day program aims to support and connect young, aspiring musical artists, including singer-songwriters and composers. Applicants can experience various activities by visiting the “music city” of Berlin before the actual Festival. This visit will allow them studio visits, short traineeships in selected companies from Berlin’s creative industries, and intensive jam sessions. Additionally, they will have meetings and listening sessions with scholarship holders of the Music board and many other activities. Also, they will share their professional knowledge and experience during the workshops and join the Pop-Kultur Nachwuchs program from 29 August to 01 September at Kulturbrauerei Berlin.

Applicants from transition or developing countries, willing to perform live on an international stage, have experience in the field of music, interested in gaining professional skills for culture exchange, and looking for a fully-funded scholarship are welcome to apply.
