Opportunity Description

The Einstein Fellowship applications are open now for outstanding thinkers wishing to pursue a project in a different field from their previous research.

In cooperation with the Wittenstein Foundation, the Einstein Forum, offers this fellowship program to talented youths to undertake a project different from their previous work. This fellowship is a fully funded opportunity designed for the enhancement of specialization of the participants in different areas of the profession.

The program covers five to six months of living accommodations in the garden cottage of Einstein`s summerhouse in Caputh, Brandenburg. Additionally, the fellow will receive EUR 10,000 stipend and travel expenses reimbursement.

By participating in this fellowship program, fellows will benefit from the followings:

Eligibilities and Requirements

Applicants should meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Not be more than 35 years old.
  • Possess a university degree in humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.
  • Present their project in a public lecture at the Einstein Forum occurs at the Wittenstein Foundation.
  • Applicants should undertake a project in a different field from their previous research.

Required Documents (in English)

Applicants should send the following application supporting documents to apply for Einstein Fellowship:

  • CV/Resume
  • Project proposal different from the applicant’s previous work (2 pages)
  • Two recommendation letters

Note: Applicants who wish to complete an academic study they have already started cannot apply for the fellowship. The proposed project does not need entire completion during the fellowship but can be the beginning of a more extended project.
