European Development Day Young Leaders Programme 2020

Are you working to reduce inequality? Are you interested in participating in the event that like-minded people coming together from around the world?  Are you passionate about the sustainable future? If yes, you can apply to European Development Day (EDD) 2020 Young Leaders Program.

EDD 2020 Young leaders program is inviting young people from around the world who can present the powerful impact of young people in the development field and playing an active role in promoting environmental issues and biodiversity preservation and fighting against climate change to participate in this program.

EDD 2020 young leaders program is a TEN-day visit in Brussels, organized by the European Commission annually. This year that will be held in Brussels, Belgium, young leaders will have the opportunity to meet EU experts, stakeholders, and participate in the EDD program. Selected young applicants will have the opportunity to speak in high-level panels at EDD 2020, alongside VIPs and key decision-makers. 

The theme of EDD 2020 is around” The Green Deal for a Sustainable Future”:

  • Green and circular economy
  • sustainable blue economy
  • Green Finance
  • Sustainable Energy
  • Sustainable urbanization
  • Water and Sanitation
  • Rural Transformation and food systems
  • Pollution and chemical
  • Green Economy-related education and training
• Protecting Biodiversity and People:
  • Forest and Landscape management
  • Seascapes and coastal areas
  • Wildlife, security, and development
  • Climate change: natural resources, food, and mobility
  • Transboundary watersheds
  • Indigenous people and local communities
  • Research, data, and new technologies
  • Protected area management and species conservation

Who can apply:

• Be a young person between the age of 21-26
• Be able to present the powerful impact of youth in the development field
• Have a good level of English Language ( proof it on Skype conversation. )
