The Central European University accepts international students to pursue their master’s degree or Ph.D. in Vienna. CEU provides a number of scholarships and tuition awards for both academic merit, and financial need to cover the living cost, health insurance, tuition fees, etc. interested and eligible applicants from any part of the world with a degree of good academic records can apply.

Eligibilities for master degree:

• Applicants must hold a bachelor degree from a recognized university or any higher educational institute. Alternatively, proof documents to show that the applicants are going to complete their degree before enrolment in a CEU master program.
• Applicants must apply for other higher institutions while applying for the CEU.
• Applicants must have excellent English proficiency such as TOEFL IBT 88, PBT 570, IELTS 6.5, PTE 59, Cambridge English: C2 180 or Euro exam academic pass, GRE, GMAT, etc.
• Native speakers and those applicants who studied their bachelor or master degrees in English are not required to submit English language proficiency.
• If applicants want to apply for the TOEFL test at CEU can use 0069 code.
• Applicants must have an excellent academic record.

Eligibilities for Ph.D. degree:

• Applicants must have completed their master degree from a recognized university of institutions to a relevant degree. Alternatively, they must provide their documents to show off their graduation before enrolment in a CEU doctoral course or study.
• Applicants must apply for other higher institutions while applying for the CEU.
• If applicants apply for the department of cognitive science with a bachelor degree, they must provide a discipline closely associated with cognitive science.
• Applicants must have excellent English proficiency such as TOEFL IBT 100, PBT 600, IELTS 7, PTE 76, Cambridge English: C1 and C2 190 or Euro exam academic pass with distinction, GRE, GMAT, etc.

Required documents:

• Academic writing papers such as research proposal, personal statement, academic essay.
• Two or three letters of recommendation.
• Bachelor diploma and transcript for master degree and bachelor and master diploma and transcript for Ph.D. degree.
• Update CV or Resume, including a list of publications if available.
• Scan or screenshot of English test results.
• Online CEU application form.
• Application fee about 30 Euro.

Important notes:

• Applicants can apply for up to 5 programs of master or Ph.D. degree.
• Each program may have various deadlines and applicants advised to check each program’s details and websites.
• The application fee is non-refundable.
