Because International accepts applications from Entrepreneurs to participate in the Because Accelerator training program 2023. This Program is for entrepreneurs in the early to middle stages of product development. The Accelerator’s primary focus is overcoming the challenges of raising affordable products. The products must have proven market attractiveness and be ready to aim for production at scale for this opportunity.

This training is helpful for entrepreneurs launching their first product or those looking to improve an existing line. The Program will cover the following concepts:

• Understanding the problem
• Steps of product design and development
• Launching a business
• Creating a financial plan
• Developing a marketing and sales plan
• Setting and achieving growth goals

Upon the program completion, entrepreneurs will write a business plan and a business pitch to share with potential investors and progress toward completing a next-level goal. Also, they will be able to participate in an annual pitch competition.

Program Components

The Because Accelerator Program comprises four components as follows:

TRAINING:

Because International delivers a 16-week online curriculum training that covers topics for startups, the Curriculum is based on Because International’s experience with their social enterprise startup, The Shoe That Grows.

COACHING

The participants will peer with coaches mentoring them during and beyond the Program at the beginning of the 16-week Program.

NETWORKING

Entrepreneurs will be able to network with members of their cohort, alums of the Program, and the Because Advisor Network. The Advisor Network is a group of subject matter experts with worldwide connections.

FUNDING

At the end of the cohort, entrepreneurs can compete in a pitch event for a cash prize.

Eligibility Criteria

This opportunity requires no particular criteria, but applicants should be early to mid-level entrepreneurs. Applicants with a manufactured product that will improve lives and create local jobs are eligible to apply for this opportunity.
