Atlas Corps Professional Development Programs 2024 applications are open till July 2023. If you are a social change leader, regardless of nationality, apply for 12–18-month Blended and 12-month Remote Fellowships.

Atlas Corps is seeking applicants who have two years of professional experience in one of the five main following skill areas:

  1. Communications and Marketing
  2. Monitoring and Evaluation/Data Analysis
  3. Operations and Human Resources
  4. Partnership Building and Business Development
  5. Program and Project Management

The selection process will focus on applications with the most excellent chance of matching with a Host Organization role. If you have two years of professional experience in one of these skill areas, why not apply by 30 July 2023 to receive priority consideration for 2024 Fellowships?

Requirements for the Atlas Corps Professional Development Programs

All applicants should meet the following eligibility criteria and requirements:

  • Applicants should provide two or more years of full-time professional experience
  • Obtain a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Provide English proficiency (oral, writing, reading)
  • Be 35 or younger
  • Commitment to addressing critical social issues in their country or region.
Additional Fellowship Requirements

Each applicant should meet these other requirements, too:

  • Their two or more years of professional experience must be within one of five main skill areas:
  1. Communications and Marketing
  2. Monitoring and Evaluation / Data Analysis
  3. Operations & Human Resources
  4. Partnership-Building and Business Development
  5. Program and Project Management
  • Applicants should commit to return to their home country after the Blended Fellowship of 12-18 month
  • Agree to live on a basic stipend that covers fellows’ food, shared housing, and local transportation
  • You must not be a U.S. citizen to apply for the Fellowship.
Additional Virtual Leadership Institute Requirements

Applicants should also meet these criteria:

  • Technological capability to participate in 1-2 video calls per month
  • Availability for 3 hours of online activity and weekly assignments for six months.
  • Citizens from every country can apply, but some special initiatives are open to citizens of select countries.

Atlas Corp’s application procedure is on a rolling basis and year-round. But applicants can apply by priority deadlines (30 July 2023) for the abovementioned initiatives. The application is a multi-step process.

Atlas Corps Selection Process

Atlas Corps applies different selection processes for the Virtual Leadership Institute with a shortened application and specific eligibility highlighted on particular web pages for each opportunity. Follow these steps to make an application:

  1. Application and Selection Board Review: Applicants should register for an accountand save their username and password to log in on the online application system to return to the login page. The application comprises a brief eligibility test. After passing the initial eligibility test, applicants should give information on their passport, travel/visa history, language skills, employment history, professional skills, and social issues, plus a brief biography and a short essay question. Additionally, they should submit additional attachments, including an official transcript or diploma and two Recommendations from recommenders who know the applicant in a professional capacity.
  2. Selection Board Interview: Atlas Corps chooses top applicants with the potential to match Host Organization placements for an interview. The interview will be via Skype with the Atlas Corps Selection Board.
  3. Semi-Finalist Status: Applicants passing the interview will be Semi-Finalist for the Atlas Corps Fellowship. Host Organizations will review Semi-Finalist’s applications for the Fellowship based on their interests and skillset and the Organization’s needs.
  4. Host Organization Review and Interview for the Fellowship: Potential Host Organizations will invite Semi-Finalists that best match their positions for Skype video interviews, moving on to the Finalist stage. The Organization may ask for additional information from the Finalists, including sample assignments.
  5. Selection for the Fellowship: Host Organizations will share their final recommendations with Atlas Corps to notify the selected applicants. After the selection process, Atlas Corps will help fellows with the necessary logistical arrangements for the Fellowship. For the online Blended and Remote Fellowship, Atlas Corps will help Fellows meet the technological capacity needed to complete Host Organization requirements. The U.S.-based component of the Blended Fellowship, the Atlas Corps, will support Fellows in applying for a J-1 visa in their respective countries. Semi-Finalists that a Host Organization has not selected will get a notification and may have the choice to keep their application on file for the next class of the Fellowship.
