Application for AMA+ (Art Major Asian Scholarships is OPEN now to students from Afghanistan and other 141 countries ( listed below) who want to pursue their Major in Arts on a fully-funded scholarship. AMA (Art Major Asian)  Scholarship is an official development assistance (ODA) project of the ministry of culture, sports and tourism of the republic of Koreas offered for international students to study their Bachelor’s degree or Master degree at the Korean National University of Arts in the academic year of 2024.

Scholarship benefits:

The art major scholarship at the Korea National Institute of Arts (KArts) provides the following benefits::

  • One round trip Travel cost economy class
  • Monthly stipend of 800,000 won
  • Full coverage of 6-month intensive Korean language training before entrance and Korean language training during the program.
  • Full tuition fee
  • Settlement allowance: 200,000 KRW
  • Graduation thesis allowance: 1,000,000 KRW
  • Korean Proficiency grant: 100,000 KRW
  •  Medical insurance

Who can apply to AMA Scholarships?

Applicants who apply to Art Major Asian Scholarships should meet the following requirements:

  • Completed or expected to complete a high school or university degree by February 28, 2024.
  • Possess a good physical and mental health
  • Be able to travel abroad
  • Demonstrate the possession of being artistically talented, having gifted skills
  • Have an excellent academic record
  • Meet the specific requirement by each department and major
  • Have the citizenship of a country in the list below

  • Personal Medical Assessment  * participants are requested to be physically healthy to follow the AMA+ curriculum at K-Arts.

  • Required Portfolio (Eng ver. slides, video, DVD, etc.)
  • Copy of diploma/degree/certificate of graduation with Apostille
  • Official Transcripts (Eng ver.)
