Job summary

AKES is looking for an Admin Officer. Eligible applicants can tread the details below and apply, or they can inform their friends in this regard.

Admin Officer is responsible to lead overall stock, inventory, and transportation-related activities and tasks under the direct supervision of the Administrative Manager. H/she is also responsible to render technical support to the regional team on stock, inventory and transportation management. In addition, the incumbent will assist Administrative Manager with collecting and preparing required reports on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Administrative Manager in the development, updating, implementation and follow-up of stock, inventory and transportation-related policies and procedures at the regions and central office.
  • Apply the internal control system for stock, inventory and transportation management of assets and supplies including proper arrangement, completion and documentation of relevant activities at regions and central office.
  • Manage and monitor related activities at regions and central office.
  • Manage and support administrative, logistics, and transport sectors in the course of their daily functions.
  • Manage and supervise the stores and stock at the regions and central office for proper use of materials and goods.
  • Administer and supervise staffs’ pick and drop facility and side visits.
  • Maintain proper record in the stock register system and maintain receipt and issuance of all supplies and stationery items.
  • Randomly visit the regions and centers to oversee the stock and office inventory management.
  • Supervise and evaluate official and rental drivers and cook at the central office.
  • Act in a way that echoes AKES’A commitment to safeguarding and protecting children, vulnerable adults, beneficiaries, partners, visitors, community members and employees in agreement with AKES, A’s Safeguarding policy, Anti-Cyber Bullying Policy, and Child Safeguarding Policy.

Job Requirements:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • Experience in roles with administration and financial areas.
  • 3 years of experience in logistic and warehouse management.
  • Good computer skills (MS Office Package) and report writing skills in English.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders and relevant depts.
  • Excellent teambuilding and participatory management skills.
