Job Responsibilities

  • Act by ORCD policy;
  • Raise awareness of Covid-19 among district IDPs and local community members through ongoing health education and community discussion.
  • All unwell children should be screened for acute malnutrition, and treatment cards should be filled with measurements of any SAM or MAM found.
  • Preserving the privacy of all documents.
  • Assist IDPs and host community members impacted by shock with a mobile team.
  • Closely collaborate with the IDPs and the local community to identify those impacted by shock and enter Women Friendly Spaces to provide counseling or aid with referrals.
  • Regularly follow up on the cases of referred-out IDPs and local community Coronavirus victims.
  • Identify IDPs and cooperate with the community by making frequent M&E visits.
  • Guarantee anonymity, all client records are kept securely during the session.
  • Do your utmost to prevent more damage from coming to IDPs and the neighborhood.
  • To aid the target population in creating a Safety Plan for potentially fatal circumstances.
  • Should adhere to protocols that protect the target community’s privacy throughout sessions.
  • Report to your immediate supervisor weekly, monthly, quarterly, and as needed.
  • Attend all meetings your supervisor has asked for pertinent to the project’s objectives.
  • Assist with additional tasks as directed by the supervisor during the community mobilization.
  • Keep any ORCD-related matters private.
  • Anything the provincial project manager assigns.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be Afghan.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field from a reputable institution, or a certification in psychosocial counseling.
  • At least a year’s worth of experience offering psychosocial counseling services. IDP-related experience will be advantageous.
  • A team player with the capacity to work alone and autonomously.
  • Ability to uphold ethics and professionalism in the provision of services.
  • Case management expertise, including managing case conferences.
  • It is necessary to be fluent in Pashto and Dari, both orally and in writing. English language proficiency is a bonus.
  • Ready to enter the field.
