Job summary:

The ORCD is hiring 20 Social Organizers who will work in Baghlan province of Afghanistan. Eligible applicants can read the details and apply accordingly.

Job description

Duties and responsibilities:

The incumbents’ tasks include:

  • Running community mobilization and awareness improvement around EZ-KAR objectives and interventions, beneficiary selection criteria, social contracts, the process of beneficiary profiling as well as baseline survey.
  • Gathering data and information about project beneficiaries in order to profile, conduct interviews aimed at data gathering of the baseline survey and countersign Social Contracts by elders and Maliks of the assigned villages.
  • Conducting and scheduling capacity building trainings, exposure visits, inputs distribution processes and other events like market linkages meetings, a celebration of farmers’ day and etc. as necessary.
  • Collaborating with other project staff in collecting M&E data of the interventions carried out on the field sites.
  •  Paying follow-up visits to sites after the delivery of capacity building trainings to ensure the action points and takeaways are accurately followed/implemented.
  • Accompanying monitoring focal points during field visits.
  • Communicating messages of office and project stakeholders to communities and vice versa.
  • Reporting instantly any changes in security or political situation of target villages to Provincial Project Manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Be a high school graduate.
  • Able to speak Pashto & Dari fluently.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Work experience in a related geographical location or similar roles is an advantage.
